This is a recap episode revisiting the events throughout the competition that have led up to the finale featuring Naima, Kahlen, and Keenyah as the final three. Viewers also get to see some never-before-seen footage that shows some girl’s playful, bitchy, sensitive, and competitive sides. Janice Dickinson had lots of opinions to share with the girls as the “bitch judge” behind-the-scenes at the cop car shoot. Brandy brings the grouchiness within the first night of living in the loft, complaining about food and her hair during her makeover. Tyra was less than pleased for how some of the girls, especially Brandy, reacted to their makeovers. Miss J coaches the runway with some tougher love than what meets the eye the first time around. Rebecca explains a bit more about her condition that causes her to faint with little warning. Tyra and both Jays love the “Lady Kat… Reow!” girl during auditions. During her time in the competition, Tiffany tried hard to coach Brandy on the perils of being angry all the time, even though she herself had some relapses. The night she drank too much at dinner and got sick at the table actually impeded on her performance the next day: she was wildly hungover at the infamous deranged tennis shoot challenge. Noelle spent a lot of her time in the competition distracted by thoughts of her young son. During the ethnicity swap challenge with the kids, the girls have a much harder time holding a child than they look in their final photo. Meanwhile, as the girls get more comfortable with each other, they play practical jokes on each other and go out and party together. Tatiana really bombs the perfume selling panel challenge and Tyra makes fun of her a bit. Tiffany, despite interrupting her own lines out of embarrassment, has a decent Cockney accent. That is the beginning of her checking out of the competition; this culminates in her giving up in front of the panel and giving us the “We were all rooting for you!” moment. After Christina wins the interview challenge with Eve, she and Brittany get visits from their moms. Next, as a focus on the “crazy” panel of judges, we get a plethora of Janice-isms. Kahlen, Michelle, and Naima have a sweet bonding moment when they camp out under the stars in South Africa. Keenyah talks a lot about her weight gain over the competition but doesn’t change her behavior in any meaningful way. Naima and Christina get naughty with kisses and taunts when overhearing Kahlen admit in a confessional that she has a hard time letting go. Christina unfortunately cannot let her warm side out in front of the judges. Old habits are hard to break for Brittany as she takes good photos but does not demonstrate meaningful growth throughout the competition.
