Toccara Elaine Jones (born March 13, 1981) is an American actress, model and television personality. She was a contestant on Cycle 3 of ANTM in 2004, where she was the eighth girl eliminated and placed seventh.
Early life[]
Jones attended Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton, where she majored in theatre and dance. She was honored by the Middletown, Ohio NAACP at the Freedom Fund Gala, and even received a key to the city.[1]
ANTM[]
Toccara was the only plus-size finalist of Cycle 3, where she infamously said at casting, "I'm big, black, beautiful and loving it!". Despite being one of the fan favorites by the judges and fans, including winning the "Covergirl of the Week" title four times, she never placed above fourth call-out in any judging.
She broke down crying in episode seven for not having any clothes that fit her for the Ford Mustang photoshoot, then getting in a fight with the wardrobe stylist. She was placed in the bottom two that episode, but was saved over Cassie.
Toccara was eliminated over Ann in the eighth episode. The judges thought that she lost her spark she originally had in the first weeks. At that deliberation, Tyra was extremely angry about all the judges unanimously voting for her to leave.
After the cycle, Toccara was named a "Top Model in Action" on Cycle 11. appeared as a guest on an episode of Cycle 12 and Cycle 14. She was referenced by Tyra in episode seven of Cycle 16, saying she hasn't been that angry at Mikaela Schpani's elimination since Toccara's.

Toccara was voted as one of the most memorable contestants by AOL Entertainment.[2]
Since the show, Jones signed with LA Models and Wilhelmina Models as a plus-size model. She has been on the covers and featured in spreads of Be, The Next, Black Men, Black Hair, Brides, Ebony, Essence, King, Smooth, Vibe Vixen, Plus Model, Evolve, Jet, Rolling Out, Kontrol, Hype Hair and Sheen. She has appeared in multiple issues in People in February/March 2006, March/April 2006, and April 2008.[3]
She had a fourteen-page spread, photographed by Steven Meisel, for the July "Black Issue" of Vogue Italia. It was the highest selling issue ever, and She was the second black plus-size entertainer, after Oprah Winfrey, and first black plus-size model to appear in Italian Vogue. The "Black Issue" featured significant past and current black models in response to the "black out" of black models preventing them from getting hired for print and runway jobs.[4]
Jones has modeled for Ashley Stewart, Avon, Lady Hennessy, Traci Lynn, Evans, JCPenny, Queen Latifah, New York and Company and Target.[5][6] Her runway shows include Hot 97's Third Annual Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show, Luxe & Romance Fall 2005, BET Presents: Rip The Runway 2, ElleGirl presents Dare To Be You: Wal-Mart Meets America's Next Top Models 2005 and Alice & Olivia Fall 2006. Jones was also selected to be part of the 2007 Rocawear I Will Not Lose campaign representing the Rocawear plus-size line for full-figured females.
She has co-hosted an episode of 106 & Park. She also occasionally appeared on The Tyra Banks Show. In one talent episode, she served as a judge. She also hosted America's Next Asian Model on the show. She was one of the former Top Model alumni who appeared in post show interviews in the E! True Hollywood Story and America's Next Top Model: Exposed.
She appeared on the second season of the VH1 series "Celebrity Fit Club". During the show, she lost 32 lb (15 kg) to get down to 173 lbs. Toccara wanted to weigh 180 lb (82 kg) because it was "good for her career". Toccara gained 14 lbs back and appeared on "Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp", which puts celebrities from past seasons up against new celebrities, and premiered in March 2008. She ended the show weighing in at 166 pounds, surpassing her weight loss goal by 7 pounds.
She was a correspondent for The Black Carpet, which airs on BET. She also appeared on the first season of Celebrity Paranormal Project. Jones was a host for BET's game show Take the Cake. She has recently been awarded a Fiercee Award for her lifetime achievement, being the fiercest contestant ever.
She made a cameo appearance in Trina's music video for the song "I Got a Thang For You". She participated in a 2009 national tour of The Vagina Monologues with an all-black cast. In 2011, she was the host of season two of the dating show Donald J Trump Presents The Ultimate Merger in 2011. She made an appearance in the 2012 movie Think Like A Man. She launched her lingerie line, Toccara Jones Intimate Apparel, and has released her own workout DVD called Toccara's Fabulous Work-Out for Real Size Women.
In 2021, Toccara hosted the plus-size modeling competiton, "Thick House", airing on Facebook Watch.[7][8]
