"The Girl With the Signature Walk" is the eighth episode of cycle 2 of America's Next Top Model. It first aired on March 2, 2004, and garnered 6.58 million viewers.

Episode

The episode opens with Yoanna in tears about Sara's elimination. We are also reminded of her 45 pound weight loss. Mercedes and Camille are talking about the latter trying to be more open. Yoanna and Mercedes are later seen talking about trying to be friends with Camille. There is a Tyra mail the next morning.

Tyra-Mail: It's time to head to Heidi's, Gisele's and my house!

The girls later travel to IMG Models, agency to Tyra, Heidi Klum and Gisele Bündchen. They meet with manager Kyle Hagler, who gives them advice on how to stand out.

Back at the house, Camille and Yoanna become friends all of a sudden. Later, the girls go to a dinner where Tyra surprises them. She tells Camille that she's wearing too much makeup, and says they are all naturally beautiful. She then wants to rap for them:

"I'm 34C, with no sili, come on, take a photo and you will see

I'm 5'9", I look so fine, yes all my photos are so divine

when I win bitch, with this, you might as well just dismiss

all the other female rappers, cause y'all just piss

Top Models pack quick, on the road, always long, pack your bags y'all, you're going to Milan!"

The girls only have one hour to pack. Shandi calls her boyfriend, while Yoanna is blessing the luggage. There is a plane ride animation, and the girls arrive in Milan at 8:30 am, which is 2:30 am in New York time. A man waiting at the airport gives them a Tyra mail.

Tyra-Mail: Buongiorno, welcome to Milan! The adventure begins in my Italian modeling agency, D Management Group.

Go-Sees

The girls travel to said agency, where they meet with president and owner, David Brown. He reveals the first thing they will be doing in Italy is to go on five go-sees. He hands them their portfolios, and they will be traveling by motorcycle with a male driver. Yoanna is first to stop at D-La Republicca, where Elena Cimarosti says she was elegant, but her shoulders and breasts made her look too square. Shandi first goes to the Eventi casting. Camille first arrives at Armando Testa, which has Carlo De Amici. He thinks she has a strong attitude. Elena thinks Mercedes is too commercial. April's first stop is at Maxim, which has Kesia Elwin. Yoanna goes to Armando Testa, while Camille goes to Maxim, and Mercedes is third to Armando Testa.

Camille is first to arrive at Caractère, which has Liliana Rolando, who has an attitude. She doesn't speak English well, so she has a translator. She doesn't like Camille wearing so much makeup, and she takes too long putting on the clothes. She also doesn't like Yoanna's earrings, and Shandi also takes too long to put on the designs. The translator asks Camille why she walks the way she does, to which she answers that it is her signature walk. Later that night, Camille is getting flirty with her driver.

At 9:39 pm, the girls meet with Tyra and David back at D Management, where they reveal the results. The clients think Shandi was more fashion than commercial, but too shy. April was strong in appearance, but weak in all other aspects. Yoanna had a really gorgeous face, but didn't have the body for high fashion. Mercedes was weak in appearance but seemed strong and confident. Camille's look was the most classic, but had the highest confidence. The girl who had the highest score was Camille, and wins the challenge. She wins a portrait done by an Italian artist, and she chooses Yoanna to share the prize. Yoanna is upset from the comments about her body. David then hands them the keys to their new apartment.
