Sophie Sumner is a British fashion model. She is the winner of British Invasion and was a finalist on BNTM Cycle 5.

Sophie was born in Oxford, England.

Sumner was the tenth girl chosen to enter the house, due to her unconventional and unique look. However, Sumner's first week in the main part of the competition was a negative one, as Sumner struggled at the photoshoot and produced a bad photo. It was in episode four that she became a stand-out, with her photo being deemed as the best in the bunch, earning her the first call-out. Afterwards, she avoided the bottom two and produced strong photographs, but landed in the bottom two again in episode eight, for her seemingly bad attitude and know-it-all personality, however, the judges rejected this idea, and saved her from the bottom two. She made it all the way to the final two, but was beaten by Mecia.

Sophie was chosen as one of the seven British All-Stars to compete in cycle 18, along with her fellow cycle 5 contestants Annaliese and Ashley.
The judges regarded her personality that it "Lit up a room", leading to her being labelled as "Illuminata" by Tyra. She earned a total of two first call-outs for the dinner party with Estelle and Dream Come True photoshoots. She had four second call-outs, and three third call-outs. Her consistency, personality, runway walk and portfolio led to Sumner becoming the winner of the show, beating American Laura.

Post-Show[]
As part of her prizes, Sophie released a single entitled "Aiming For You" on iTunes and her photos for Vogue Italia were featured in the August 2012 issue. She has made billboard advertisements for CoverGirl and for the Dream Come True perfurme.
In 2012, She appeared as Deepika Padukone's friend in the Bollywood film Cocktail, including dancing sequences. Sumner, along with Allison Harvard and Dominique Reighard, walked in the 25th anniversary of Bench Universe Denim and Underwear Show in September 2012.[1] In December, she was a covergirl for MEG Magazine for their frosty December 2012/January 2013 issue.[2] She also attended a fashion show in Montego Bay for cycle 19 with the contestants.
In 2013, Sumner opened the runway and wore the designs of Singaporean designer Frederick Lee during the finale of Asia's Next Top Model, Cycle 1. In 2015, She starred as "Summer" in the reality TV show "Taking New York" on channel 4 in the UK.[3] In October 2016, Sumner was guest judge in the coronation night of Miss Earth 2016, in the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Her other print work includes Woman, OZON, The Sun, Creative Head, Fabulous, Moda Woman, Marie Claire Czech, Flux, Componere, Spectrum, Fellowship, Hodinkee, Bello, L'Officiel Hommes China, Travelife, Inquirer 2bU, Style Weekend, Glass and Ellements. She also modeled for Forever 21, G The Body Art Professional, Rush Hair and Beauty, Target Style, Viral Fashion, Daily Front Row and Taste Collection NY.[4]
Activism[]
Sophie was active in raising funds for Breast Cancer Research with the help of her pink dog, Darcy.[5]

- Sophie is of English descent.
- Sophie is the seventh model to reach the final judging without a single appearance in the bottom two, following Joanie Dodds, Jaslene Gonzalez, Anya Rozova, McKey Sullivan, Nicole Fox and Krista White. She would be followed by Jourdan Miller and India Gants.
- Sophie is the second model to reach the final judging twice, following Allison Harvard.
- Sophie is the only foreign model to win ANTM.
- Sophie is the only model in the Top Model franchise to finish both as a losing finalist and a winner after reaching the final judging.
