America's Next Top Model

Sandra Nyanchoka is a Kenyan-American fashion model, who placed ninth on cycle 12 of ANTM in 2009.

Early Life

Sandra was originally born in Kenya. She was in a Coco-Cola ad when she was a child.[1]

Sandra's overconfidence and personality annoyed many of the girls at casting week, and her mean nature soon came out. At the greek goddess photoshoot in auditions, she told Nijah to "shut your mouth" because Nijah asked her if she was done using the mirror. She also started an argument with Angelea when she pushed her out of her way, which greatly effected Angelea's photoshoot performance. Sandra was the final girl called into the house and she meanly bumped into Angelea as an act of revenge.

Sandra was in the bottom two in the first week with Isabella, due to her pitiful runway walk, where she only walked half way down the runway, posed in the middle and walked back (ironically, she commented that she thought the other girls' walks were nothing compared to hers) as well as having a bad photo. But she was spared for having a stronger presence in front of the judges.

During her time in the cycle, she clashed with almost every single girl, such as Allison, Aminat and Celia, calling them "stupid" or telling them to "not go there with me!" and also saying "that they could never be models".

She earned one first call-out and appeared in the bottom two three times. She was sent home for being unable to take a strong front facial shot, with almost all her photos in her portfolio being profile shots. Tyra intentionally picked a weaker straight-on shot for the color beauty photoshoot because of this, which fans called unfair.

She was the only girl not to be featured in the cycle 12 reunion. The reason for this is unknown.

Sandra was signed with Major Model Management in New York.[2]

She was in the magazines MIMI, Essence, Wed and The Visual.[3]

Her fight with Angelea was an honorable mention on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 10 Craziest Fights on America's Next Top Model".[4]
