Renee A. Bhagwandeen was a contestant on cycle 20 of ANTM in 2013. She was eliminated in episode thirteen and placed fifth.

Early Life

Before the show, Renee participated in pageantry. When she was 15 years old, she was one of the first black women to place in the Miss International pageant in China. She was the winner of Miss Trinidad and Tobago International in 2011.

ANTM

Renee showed off her pageant skills to the judges in auditions. She was the third model called to the final cast, and was the winner of the vertical runway challenge in episode two. This made her the first model to win a stay in the Tyra Suite. She started developing a relationship with Marvin around this time.

In episode five, she got into a fight with Jourdan for hogging the phone to talk to her ex-husband, to the point were Renee threatened to slap her. During the nail art shoot in episode six, the two made up and became frenemies for the remainder of the competition. Later that episode, the boys pulled a prank on her and Kanani by throwing clown dolls at them.

In episode eight, she was the winner of the go-sees challenge. Later at the magical field shoot, Jourdan made her mad again by putting a frog she found on her dress. In episode ten, she was scared to do the Quaff water challenge because she has a fear of things disguised in a suit. Later, Chris wrote her a note over the dishes, calling her a ratchet ass. This led to a fight between them with Jourdan and Jeremy joining in. She refused to apologize to Chris after the fight.

She won the underwater runway challenge in episode eleven. In episode twelve, she shared a kiss with Marvin on top of an elephant, and the couple was officially dubbed "Marnee". In episode thirteen, she beat Jourdan in the workout challenge, and won a trip to a spa with Marvin, who did the best of the boys. She later had to end her upside down bat photoshoot early because she wasn't feeling well. At panel, she was in the bottom three with Chris and Cory. She was the first eliminated in the group.

Post-Show

After the show, Renee signed to Next Models in Miami and LA, and The Industry Model Management. As of 2020, she is signed to Fusion Models and 10 MGMT. She was in Ellements, Raine, Gladys, Metro Trinidad & Tobago, Nicole, Derniere Vie, CLEO Malaysia, August Man Malaysia, pd MAG, CosmoBiz Korea, Darling, We Are Onyx, Plateau Fashion, SEVEN Tribes, Destiny, Trend Prive, FashionTV, Fashion Focus, BG, Cosmopolitan Online, The New York Post, and Essence. She has modeled for Modern Salon, JCP Salon. Sensationnel Hair, and Every Strand Earthy Hair Essentials. Her catalogue work includes Elease Donovan Swimwear, LuvB, Hautelocks, Enrou, Rumah Kaftan Citra, Vibrant Jeans, M The Movement, Glazed, Charles Albert Jewelry, and the Kayline Collection.

She has since started her own subscription based online shoe store called the Sole Tie Shoe Shop.

• Renee is the first Trinidadian ANTM contestant.
• Renee is the highest-placing model in Cycle 20 that was eliminated in her first bottom two.
• Renee is the third girl of South Asian (Indian) ancestry, following Julie in Season 3 and Anchal in Season 7.
