America's Next Top Model

Natalie Ann Pack O'Connell was a contestant on cycle 12 of ANTM in 2009, where she placed sixth.

Early Life

Natalie was born and raised in Palos Verdes, California. She attended the University of California, Irvine, where she was on the Dean's List.[1]

In 2005, she appeared in an episode of "The Dog Whisperer" with Cesar Millan.

ANTM

Natalie was the second girl called to the final cast. During her time in the competition, she won two challenges in episodes four and six.

In episode three, she infamously did not receive a makeover because Tyra believed she looked modelesque as she was. Natalie did not know this, and she freaked out when she hairstylist tried to cut her hair. Mr. Jay told her that it was a joke.

She clashed with Aminat and Teyona in episode six, after Celia threw Tahlia under the bus in judging. Aminat walked up to Natalie and called her stupid repeatedly.

She was in the bottom two in episode ten with Aminat, and was eliminated for delivering only moderate quality photos.

At the cycle 12 reunion, Natalie was voted "Most likely to be mistaken for a Gossip Girl".[2]

Behind The Scenes

Natalie revealed in a post-show interview that before that scene, she was waiting patiently for her makeover when the hairstylist came from behind her out of nowhere and yelled to chop it off immediately. He pushed her head down, and snipped his scissors in the air while dropping fake hair pieces on the floor, gaslighting Natalie.

Natalie is most likely known for her unaired meltdown in her final panel. Celia said in a 2009 interview that Natalie and Tyra were in a screaming fight.[3] This led to wide fan speculation on what happened. In 2020, Mr. Jay confirmed on Jays Chat, as well as Aminat and Fo confirming on their livestream, that the meltdown did happen.

When it was announced she was eliminated, she called the judges out one by one. First Miss Jay for not giving constructive criticism. She then called out Nigel, then Paulina, and finally Tyra. She asked why she would be the color Orange and called the color beauty photoshoot stupid.[4][5]

Post-Show

After the show, Natalie signed to Ford Models in Los Angeles and NEXT Model Management in Miami.

She has walked for Billabong and Dona Daneshi. In 2015, she was featured in ads for Guess.

In 2012, Natalie represented California in the 2012 Miss USA pageant.[6][7] She did not place.[8]

Personal Life

She interned at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and hoped to go to medical school to become an OBGYN.[9]

In September 2017, she became engaged to boyfriend, actor Aaron O'Connell. Their wedding took place in Italy on July 21, 2018.[10][11]

On October 2018, Natalie filed a $1.3 million lawsuit against Guess over late payments.[12]

Legacy

Her, Allison and Celia's fight with Aminat, Tahlia and Teyona ranked number four on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 10 Craziest Fights on America's Next Top Model".[13]
