Michelle Marie Carlsen (née Deighton) (born December 8, 1985) was a contestant on cycle 4 of ANTM in 2005. She was the ninth girl eliminated and placed sixth.
Early life[]
Michelle was a professional wrestler but wanted to get into modelling.
ANTM[]
Michelle was selected to be part of cycle 4 where she took a lot of good pictures but struggled with her confidence. She infamously got impetigo in episode five, which the other girls believed to be a flesh eating bacteria. She also came-out as bisexual on the show, confiding in Noelle and getting support from Tiffany and Brandy.
She was eventually eliminated in the first South Africa week, because the judges felt her lack of self-confidence was too hard to overcome.
Michelle later appeared as a guest on episode eight of cycle 8 for a photoshoot with Natasha, recreating Michelle's Impetigo.

She has been signed with the Janice Dickinson modelling agency. She has modeled for Elate Wear, Louche Clothing, Celebrity Baby Blog and Mommyground.com. Her runway credits include Meghan Spring and ElleGirl presents Dare To Be You: Wal-Mart Meets America's Next Top Models in 2005.
She has appeared on "WWE Tough Enough", where she quit in the third episode. She was on "True Life", "Where are they now?", "E! True Hollywood Story", as well as numerous installments of "The Tyra Banks Show". She filmed a pilot for her own TV show about her life as a wife, mom and model.
Personal life[]
She married Jonny Fairplay from Survivor on June 14, 2008. They have a daughter, Piper Addison (born January 16, 2008). The couple later divorced, and Michelle now goes by Michelle Carlsen.

Her flesh eating bacteria scare was ranked number five on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 10 Outrageous America's Next Top Model Moments".[1]
