Justin Daeil Kim was a contestant on cycle 22 of ANTM in 2015. He was the eighth model eliminated and placed eighth overall.

Early Life

Justin is the son of Korean immigrants who ran a dry-cleaning business for over 25 years.

In auditions, Justin revealed his parents disdain for him pursuing modeling. He was the fourth model to survive the shipping container runway.

He was best known for his relationship with Mamé. The two caught feelings for eachother during the bound in pairs photoshoot. He was called second in that weeks judging. In episode six, he was jealous of Mikey getting to act intimate with her during the challenge with Whitney Thompson. In episode seven, they didn't show any chemistry at the acting challenge despite being the only couple.

In episode eight, he and Dustin were paired for the go-see challenge, and were reprimanded by Kelly Cutrone for barging into one of Mikey and Ashley's castings. Later, despite an average dog photo, he was in the bottom two with Devin for a fading personality. He was eliminated to Mamé's devastation, and Dustin replaced him.

In the finale, Devin told him about Mamé being intimate with Mikey in the cabin. Justin confronted her about this, and this made her lose her focus.

Post-Show

After the show, Justin signed with NEXT Models in Miami and Los Angeles. He had a cover and spread in Ellements magazine with Mamé. He was also in HUF, Vulkan, Nude, Hacid, Elegant, Bello, Status and We Are Famous. His catalogue work includes Adamist, Gripbell, Combatant Gentleman, This Is A Love Song x Karrueche 'T x K', PRPS Jeans, Sayless, Paul Mitchell and Lululemon.

In September of 2015, Justin, along with Will Jardell (finalist of Cycle 21), did a recap of the seventh episode of Cycle 22.

He was featured in a Coca-Cola ad in 2016, and a Fitbit ad in 2017. He was in the music video for Nick Jonas's "Remember I Told You".

Trivia

• Justin is the second Asian male model to compete on the show, following Adam Smith.
• Justin is the highest-placing model in Cycle 22 that was eliminated in his first bottom two.
  • Justin is the only male model to accomplish this feat.
• Justin, Kendal Brown, Lauren Brie Harding, Sandra Shehab and Sarah Hartshorne are the lowest-placing models to be the highest-placing models that were eliminated in their first bottom two, as they all placed 8th.
