Jaslene Gonzalez (born May 29, 1986) is a Puerto Rican fashion model. She was the winner of cycle 8 of ANTM in 2007.

Early Life

Jaslene was born in Puerto Rico. She grew up in Humboldt Park, Chicago, and graduated from Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago. She was an online college admissions advisor prior to the show.

Gonzalez had done some modeling prior to Top Model, having been represented by Avant Garde Models. In her CW "Close-up" interview, it was revealed that she appeared in fashion shows for local Chicago designers, including Michelle Gomez and Alexis Arquette, as seen in local Chicago newspapers Extra and La Nota.

Gonzalez said in her Seventeen interview that she had been in an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend; the relationship ended shortly before the filming of cycle 7.

Cycle 7

Jaslene originally tried out for cycle 7, but only made it to the top twenty. In her final moments, she assured Tyra that she would be back for the next cycle's audition.

There is a rumor she did not advance to the final cast because she did not pass the psych test, due to the toxic relationship with her ex-boyfriend.

Cycle 8

Jaslene's determination coming back caught Tyra's eye who thought she had potential. She started off at the top of the pack, getting the first call-out for the first two weeks.
