Furonda Brasfield was a contestant on cycle 6 of ANTM in 2006, where she placed fifth.

Early Life

Furonda was from Stuttgart, Arkansas and graduated from The University of Arkansas in 2005. Before appearing on Top Model, Furonda had already had some experience in modeling. She also worked as a phone sex operator before the show.

ANTM

Furonda was most known for her comeback "I mean what's your point though?" to a semifinalist, Dani, after saying the auditions in her city were mostly black girls, and that she "didn't know it was gonna be like that".

In episode two, Furonda was one of the worst in the bald photoshoot, and was put in the bottom two, but saved because Kathy had an even worse photo.

She made a big improvement in the fifth and sixth episode, where she received both first call-outs in a row and won the improv challenge. Her reward was a guest spot on UPN's Veronica Mars. She also won the opportunity to record a public service announcement about HIV prevention, a prize which she shared with fellow contestant Nnenna.

In episode eleven, Furonda was infamous for not remembering the steps for the Thai classical dance challenge, and ad-libbed them. She was eliminated that week.

She made a cameo as a cheerleader in cycle 10, with Joanie from her season, Michelle and Amanda from cycle 7 and Jael from cycle 8.

Post-Show

Since Top Model, Furonda has signed with L.A. Models and VMH Models Vancouver. Her runway shows include Absolut Fashion Show 2006. She has also modeled for Op Swimwear.

She has left the industry to become a real estate agent.[1] She later became an attorney. She was the Executive Director of the Arkansas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.[2]

Furonda was in season six, episode four of the TVOne true crime documentary, For My Man in 2020.[3]
