Cycle 5 of America's Next Top Model premiered on September 21, 2005 on UPN and concluded on December 7, 2005.

Tyra Banks and Nigel Barker return as regular judges. Janice Dickinson is replaced by Twiggy, although she does make a guest appearance as a photographer. Nolé Marin is replaced by J. Alexander, who previously only served as a mentor. The season features 13 contestants with 13 episodes, plus a special reunion episode on The Tyra Banks Show. The destination abroad was London, England.

Nicole Linkletter won the title of "America's Next Top Model" with Nik Pace as runner-up. Bre Scullark and Lisa D'Amato, who placed third and sixth respectively, returned for All-Stars in 2011. Bre placed tenth while Lisa won the competition, albeit after Angelea Preston's disqualification.

  • This is the first cycle to feature a girl to quit on her own accord.
  • This is the first cycle to feature a non-elimination episode.
  • This is the first cycle to feature a double-episode premiere.
  • This is the first and only cycle that has a full-fledged reunion episode that features the whole cast. Contestants from the show are often guests on Tyra's talk show The Tyra Banks Show but in shorter segments or individual interviews.
  • The house that the girls stayed in the first half of the competition was later used for the first season of the VH1 show Rock of Love.
  • The finale of this cycle was reshot in Los Angeles due to the 7/7 attacks in London.
