Trivia[]

  • This is the first cycle since cycle 2 where there is no full casting week episode.
  • The international destination for this cycle was Marrakech, Morocco. This is the first and to date only North African destination.
  • This cycle featured the 200th episode of the series.

Controversy[]

One of the most controversial moments in the shows history is the fake-out casting stunt seen within the first few minutes, where the girls who thought they didn't make it did. This led to many fans believing the girls who were eliminated were just actresses.

However, in a 2021 interview by Oliver Twixt, three of the semifinalists, Molly Mack, Laree Starke and Tiffany Stick Powell, confirmed that all of the semifinalists were real contestants, and revealed that after they left off-screen, they boarded onto a bus and waited for hours before Michelle Mock told them the truth, which led to chaos. One of those girls even admitted to having an abortion to compete.[1]
