Claire-Aimee Unabia, better known as just Claire Unabia, is an American model and video director. She was a contestant on cycle 10 of ANTM in 2008. She was the seventh girl eliminated and placed eighth.

Early Life

Claire has stated that she was born in Hawaii and later moved to New-York. She is married and had daughter. She is Half Filipino (Father Dave Dungan and Mother Leila Andico) and she is fluent speaker of Filipino Language after being left behind when her parents returned to America. She has two brothers named Ryan and Corey, and a half sister named Corinne. She has a husband named Matt who is Japanese and Caucasian, and also from Hawaii.

She has appeared on season two of "Runway Moms", sparking some controversy over her eligibility for ANTM, which was shut down since it is not a national advertising campaign.

ANTM

During Claire's audition, she revealed that she pumped and drank her breast milk in order to still be able to breast-feed after the competition. In an interview she stated she shipped some over to her husband. She was the eighth girl selected by Tyra to the house.

She was given almost-shaven blond hair as her makeover, due to the fact that she had shaven one side of her head. She was one of the early front runners, usually being called in the upper half of call-out orders, and winning three challenges.

In episode six, she was put in the bottom two with Aimee, because she looked too harsh in her photo portraying country music. When she was declared safe, she jumped and screamed "Yes!" while Aimee was crying. This rubbed most of the girls and fans the wrong way. In episode seven, she was told to by Mr. Jay to gently place herself in the Fuerza Bruta photoshoot. Claire ignored this and dived headfirst, injuring herself. Later at panel, the judges felt she was only one note, and was eliminated over Lauren.

Post-Show

After the show, Claire has been in Stork, Glamour UK, and the June 2008 issue of Seventeen. She graced the cover of Islands Weddings & Honeymoons, Spring/Summer 2002. She has also been in several photoshoots since the show for various photographers, including Shiloh Crawford.

She has been featured on the 500th episode of "The Tyra Banks Show", where she planted a tree to celebrate along with Jaslene Gonzalez and Saleisha Stowers. She attended the party held by Seventeen to celebrate Whitney's win with Lauren, Atalya, Katarzyna, Anya and Fatima, and hugged Whitney as soon as she found out.

A stock photo of Claire was used in season one of "Westworld".

Legacy

Her fight with Dominique was ranked number six on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 10 Craziest Fights on America's Next Top Model".

Trivia

• Claire is the only eighth placed girl to be named "CoverGirl of the Week".
• Claire has the fifth most "CoverGirl of the Week" titles with five. She is behind Naima Mora, Heather Kuzmich, Nik Pace and Eva Marcille, and she's tied with Caridee English.
• Lauren said in an interview that Claire actually knew some of the people behind the Fuerza Bruta photoshoot, which didn't go well with production for whatever reason. This possibly contributed to her negative edit and elimination.
