Christina Maria Anderson-McDonald was a contestant on cycle 24 of ANTM in 2018. She was the seventh girl eliminated and placed ninth.

Early Life

Christina's very first modeling gig was walking in a Bloomingdale's runway show at ten years old. She studied at Tufts University and graduated with a dual major in Psychology and Art History.

Before the show, she signed with MMG Models in Dubai, D&A Model Management, Direct Model Management and Base Model Agency South Africa. She had previously been in the magazines Ponyboy, GLASSbook, Scraper, MOJEH, Black Beauty, Glamour South Africa, Adore Noir, Vogue.it, Dodho and Supplementaire. She has modeled for Mrs. Keepa, Urban Fluid Fashion, Amber Feroz Design Studio, Afyda Antara, Superbalist and Truworths.

In 2007, she was featured as a model on the fourth season of "Project Runway", where she placed twelfth. She portrayed the role of Cynthia in the 2011 short drama "Dart", which also featured April Wilkner.

ANTM

Christina was best known for being the main villain for the first half of the cycle. Right away the judges were put off by her arrogance in auditions. Despite this, she advanced to the next round as made it to the final cast. In episode three, she got into an argument with Sandra after she bumped into her. Brendi K. came to Sandra's defense and brought up her attitude when she asked her to throw away some trash. Christina overheard and they got into a screaming match.

In episode five, she tried to sabotage Erin and Shanice by squishing them at the model sandwich photoshoot. This was brought up in judging, and she mentioned her working out, which the judges thought was a humble brag. She was in the bottom two but saved over Coura. In episode six, the girls confronted her about her attitude in the limo ride home. She later told Manila Luzon at the drag queen shoot that she doesn't like one of the girls, but didn't specify. Brendi K. was right behind her.

In episode seven, when Tyra came to visit, Christina brought up her dad almost passing, and the other girls had sympathy for her. Later, she told Stacey McKenzie that she was bullied by the other girls in the house, which angered them. At judging, Tyra told her that the no-makeup look doesn't work for her. She rebutted saying she never wears makeup, and Tyra brought up her constant condescension. She was put in the bottom two and eliminated over Erin, because Tyra thought she was only on the show for exposure.

In the comeback episode, she was one of four eliminated girls to survive the bubble runway challenge. Back at the house, she confronted all the girls. Despite performing well at the spider shoot with Eva Marcille, she lost the comeback spot to Jeana.

Cristina is signed to ModelClub Inc. as of 2022. She was in the magazines Malvie, MARIKA and Eyes & Edge, and modeled for Adrian Alicea and Zahara Fit.

Legacy

Her makeover ranked number fourteen on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 20 Worst America's Next Top Model Makeovers".

Trivia

• At 34, Christina is the second oldest girl to compete in ANTM history, after Erin.
• She is the first alumni to appear on "Project Runway" before appearing on Top Model.
