Barbara Serova was a contestant on cycle 1 of Ty - Supermodel in 2004, entering the competition in episode five. She was the seventh girl eliminated outside of panel, and placed eighth overall.

According to the shows website, Barbara joined after Natalia's elimination in episode five as Alexandra's replacement. She was known for being very arrogant and selfish. She flashed her underwear during Ksenia K.'s birthday, which offended the hotel guests. The two later got food poisoning from fish. Ksenia pushed through and excelled in the couture dresses photoshoot, while Barbara refused to even go to the set. Fyodor had a sit down with her, and she threatened to quit if he didn't give her an envelope at the hotel.

In episode seven, at dinner, Yulia O. called her out for her attitude and her provocative clothing. Yulia V. came to Barbara's defense attacking Yulia O's style. Veronika and Anastasiya chimed in, and the two moved to a different table at the restaurant. At judging, she voted Yulia O. to go home for being the strongest, which Fyodor respected.

She was eliminated out of panel in episode eight, and Alexandra returned to the competition at the end of judging.

• Barbara is the first girl in the entire Top Model franchise to enter the game later on as a replacement for another girl quitting.
• She is the first girl in the entire Top Model franchise to be eliminated outside of judging.
