Atalya Slater was a contestant on cycle 10 of ANTM in 2008, where was eliminated in the first judging and placed thirteenth.


Atalya had a lisp, and was fairly reserved and quiet in auditions.

She eliminated in episode two because the judges thought her look was too commercial and not versatile enough.[1]


After the show, Atalya has been signed to Wilhelmina Models in New York. featured in Cosmopolitan and Seventeen and had a campaign with South Pole clothing. She is also on the cover of the Book "Friend Til the End".

She played the part of a female fan in the movie "Notorious" in 2009. She was in the music video for Fabolous's "Throw It in the Bag".[2][3] She has modeled for Elisabeth Hasselbeck's clothing line on "The View". She has also appeared on the June 19, 2009 broadcast of "The Today Show" modeling swimwear and later Fall fashion. She also modeled for the clothing line Coogi.

In February 2010, Atalya was involved in a fight with a female partygoer at NYC club, 1Oak. She was reportedly involved in a physical fight during an argument over a jacket. According to sources, “This girl was trying to take her jacket from a booth when Slater started to grab it. She thought it was hers. They started playing tug of war over it, and then, all of a sudden, she started slamming the girl in the head.” The unnamed victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and Atalya was arrested by the New York Police Department for assault and released.[4]
