Anchal Joseph was a contestant on cycle 7 of ANTM in 2006. She was the seventh girl eliminated and placed seventh.
Early Life[]
Anchal was born in India in 1987, but migrated to Miami, Florida at the age of six.
Prior to ANTM, she modeled for Zoom Magazine and French Vogue, the latter with Natalia Vodianova.[1][2]
ANTM[]
Tyra stated that she was one of the most physically beautiful contestants to ever participate in the competition. Anchal stated that in India, blue eyes and lighter skin was perceived as more beautiful, which affected Anchal's self-confidence.
While she was often praised for the quality of her portfolio, her insecurities were often noted by the judging panel. In episode eight, she refused to fully participate in a judging challenge that required her to perform a task while portraying a random emotion (dancing aggressively), sending her home over Michelle.[3]

Since ANTM, Anchal has signed to Elite Models Miami, State Management, MMG New York, Colby Models and MEGA Models Miami.
She was in Night Weekly, Artemis Allure Models, I AM CERA show / FUNKSHION Fashion week, Lila Nikole Show / Rock Fashion Week, Red Dress Fashion Show to benefit the American Heart Association at the Setai Hotel in South Beach as part of Funkshion Fashion Week. She co-hosted SFL Live with Kristin Anderson. She has modeled for Sofi Swimwear.[4]
Acting and Television[]
She has made appearances and had roles between 2010 and 2011 on White Collar, Gossip Girl and Royal Pains. In 2018, she carried briefcase #22 on the revive of Deal or No Deal.[5][6]

In 2011, Anchal made headlines when she was spotted with Jim Carrey.[7][8][9][10][11]

- Anchal is the only girl in ANTM to have their placement, season they were on and episode number they were eliminated on be the same. (7th, cycle 7, episode 7)
- She was voted Covergirl of the Week two times in the cycle.
- Anchal is the highest-placing model in Cycle 7 that was eliminated in her first bottom two.
- Anchal is the second contestant to be of South Asian (Indian) ancestry, but she is also the first to be born in Asia (India).
