Adam C. Smith was a contestant on cycle 21 of ANTM in 2014. He was the second runner-up.

In auditions, Adam told the judges his frat party lifestyle, which included lots of drinking. Kelly Cutrone was almost immediately turned off by him. He was the second to last model called to the final cast. He struggled in the first few challenges because he was either too over the top or he wasn't taking the competition seriously.

In episode five, he and Romeo get into a drunken fight after they celebrate Romeo's birthday. Romeo tries to get Adam to punch him to get him disqualified, and instead headbutts him in the cheek. Romeo got disqualified for this right before the stilts challenge. He was commended for taking the high road, but was in the bottom two for his weak Spider Byte commercial. He was saved over Lenox.

In episode seven, during the drama between Denzel and Will, Adam confesses to Will that he was homophobic to a man at a frat party once, and was against Denzel's comments about Will. In episode twelve, his drinking gets the better of him as he struggles during the MCM bag photoshoot. He managed a good photo in the end, but Tyra smelled his breath when she called him for his photo, and found out he drank before the panel. In episode thirteen, he was in the bottom two with Chantelle, but had the higher score.

He won the first call-out twice in a row for his Elvis Presley photo and his Guess campaign, but had a lower score than Will and Keith in the finale panel.

Post-Show

After the show, Adam has taken some test shots, and has been featured in ads for Coca-Cola, Domino's Pizza and Hooters. He has worked for TenCate Gemini, Planet Freedom Fashion, and Crown & Caliber.

In addition to modeling, he is a part-time stand-up comic and runs the comedy club Accidental Chaos with Tom Epstein.

In 2021, he was the first contestant from cycle 21 to be interviewed by Oliver Twixt. It is considered to be one of the worst to the fans, due to him being drunk during the entire live, calling Will "Gay Will", joking about the deceased Mirjana, and using the bathroom in the middle of the interview.

Legacy

His fight with Romeo was an honorable mention on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 10 Craziest Fights on America's Next Top Model".

• Adam is the first Asian male to compete. He is followed by Justin Kim.
• Adam is the second male model who made it to the final judging, but did not win, following Marvin Cortes. He would be followed by Will Jardell.
• Adam is the second contestant to be the second runner-up, following Leila Goldkuhl. He would be followed by Khrystyana Kazakova.
  • Adam is the only male model to accomplish this feat.
• During an Instagram live, Adam stated that he thinks Kari had the worst makeover of their cycle.
